Printify Pricing 2026: Every Plan, Real Costs and Hidden Fees
Printify is free in 2026, and Premium is $39 a month or $299 a year. Store caps, the product discount, and how many shirts cover the fee.

Printify's Free plan is $0. Premium is $39/mo, or $299 a year ($24.99/mo). Stay on Free until reorders save more than that fee: 18 Bella+Canvas 3001s in a month on the monthly plan, or 12 a month on the yearly plan. There is no per-seat price, and product plus shipping is still due on every order, with these prices checked on 17 October 2026.
Toolradar data: Of the 11 print-on-demand tools Toolradar tracks, Printify drew 79 side-by-side comparisons in the 90 days to 17 October 2026, more than any other tool in that set. The directory page is the print-on-demand ranking, and the product profile is on Toolradar. Buyers are already comparing it with other printers, yet the subscription is the small line and the fulfilled shirt is the rest of the cost. Disclosure: the Printify link in this paragraph is an affiliate link, and a signup through it may earn Dupple a commission. It does not change the prices or the shirt math below.
Printify is a print-on-demand marketplace where you publish a design, a provider prints it after the customer pays, and you do not buy blanks up front. That suits a store testing graphics, and it is a poor fit if you already reorder a proven design in bulk and want a warehouse price. The pricing page sells three plans, and none of them is priced per user, so a contractor login does not create a seat fee.
Printify plans at a glance
| Plan | Subscription | Stores | Product discount | Extra you actually use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 | None | Unlimited designs, product creator, store integrations, manual orders, 24/7 support |
| Premium, monthly | $39/mo, charged immediately | 10 | Up to 20% on the catalog, up to 33% on select new products | Printify Connect, 25 AI mockup attempts a day, Sellers Club PRO for 30 days |
| Premium, yearly | $299 for the year | 10 | Same discounts as monthly | Same tools, with Sellers Club PRO for the full year |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing | Unlimited | Additional discounts, rate not published | Custom API, a dedicated manager, branded support |
The yearly card is the one to buy when you already know the discount will clear the fee. Printify raised the monthly price from $29 on 17 February 2026, and the annual price stayed at the figure in the table. Monthly buyers get Sellers Club PRO for the short window in that table, then the mentorship ends while the subscription keeps renewing. Annual buyers keep that community for the year they paid for, so pick the annual card if you want the coaching and the shirt discount together.
How much does Printify cost per month?
The free plan has no platform fee, no listing fee, and no charge for publishing designs. It fits while you are still retiring graphics that do not sell. Printify's own FAQ says the company earns a margin inside the fulfillment price, and only when an order ships. You cannot see that margin as a separate line, so put the catalog price on the margin sheet instead of treating it as the blank's cost.
Premium sits on top of that catalog price, and it is a weak fit if you only want to sample the discount. The help article on Premium says the fee is taken as soon as you subscribe, it renews on that date, and it is non-refundable. Cancel before the renewal date, or the next period bills in full.
There is no seat price, so a second login for a VA or a second founder is not a line item. The cap is stores on the account, 5 on Free and 10 on Premium, with unlimited stores only on Enterprise. A store past the free-plan cap is what forces the upgrade, not an extra user. Gelato publishes a user cap in the comparison below, so read that row if your team cannot share one login.
Enterprise is for a brand that needs a custom API, a named manager, or more stores than Premium allows. Printify publishes no Enterprise price and no numeric discount, so get a quote before you compare it with the yearly card.
When does Premium pay for itself?
The discount is a ceiling, not a coupon that takes the same cut off every reorder. A spreadsheet that uses the launch rate on a proven SKU will overstate the margin. The pricing table applies the catalog discount to all products, and the help article is tighter: up to 20% on most catalog products, with the higher rate only on select new products. The shirts you already sell have to cover the fee, and a new-product rate does not belong on them.
Printify's shirt pricing guide, updated 14 September 2026, pairs two published prices for the same blanks, which is what to budget. A Bella+Canvas 3001 starts at $10.98 and drops to $8.77 on Premium. A Gildan 5000 starts at $8.80 and drops to $5.92 on Premium. The gaps are $2.21 and $2.88, and both are starting prices, so a heavier color, a second print, or a different provider can move them.
| Billing | Bella+Canvas 3001s to clear the fee | Gildan 5000s to clear the fee |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | 18 in that month | 14 in that month |
| Yearly | 136 in the year, about 12 a month | 104 in the year, about 9 a month |
On the Bella+Canvas pair, 18 shirts times $2.21 is $39.78, which clears the monthly fee. At 17 shirts the total is $37.57, which does not clear it, so one missed reorder leaves the fee as a loss. Across a year, 136 of those shirts come to $300.56, which clears the annual fee, and 135 come to $298.35, which does not. The safer reading of the yearly plan is the monthly pace in the table, because 12 times $2.21 is $26.52, which sits above one-twelfth of the annual fee. A store that only hits that pace in busy months should not lock the annual card on a peak week.
The Gildan gap is wider, so 14 times $2.88 is $40.32 and that covers the monthly fee, while 104 shirts cover the yearly fee. Check the blank you actually sell before you treat the Bella+Canvas count as a rule for the whole catalog, because the wider gap makes Premium cheaper to earn back on a Gildan basic.
A second Printify page, the Printify vs Printful comparison, lists that same Bella+Canvas 3001 at $11.29 before a $3.99 ship to the US, on the page we read in October 2026. The shirt guide's start price and that comparison price are both Printify's, and they are not the same offer, because provider, color, and size move the start price. Preview the SKU you will reorder, and do not subtract the Premium blank from $11.29 and call the difference the plan discount. The help article says you can preview both prices before you subscribe, and the discount is already inside the catalog price after you do.
Shipping does not pay the subscription down, because neither published pair discounts the ship line. The shirt guide says a single domestic shirt typically runs $3.50 to $5.00, and the comparison page's $3.99 sits inside that band for one Bella+Canvas 3001 to the US. The ship line raises the cost of the order and leaves the shirt count unchanged, so a store that offers free shipping is paying that band itself.
The pricing page's profit calculator is the figure most likely to land in a pitch deck, and it leaves shipping out. It shows an $8.77 fulfillment cost, a $35 retail price, one sale a day, and $813.13 in monthly earnings. That is a 31-day month of that retail price minus that fulfillment cost, or $26.23 times 31. The footnote says shipping, taxes, and other storefront expenses are excluded. Put the ship line back in before you quote that figure to a partner.
What sits outside the plan price?
The subscription is optional, and the lines below are not, so a free plan still produces an invoice on the first sale.
A second print, a label, or an insert is extra, because the product price in the shirt guide is one print, and Printify does not publish a universal label price next to the plan. Neck labels take the higher new-product discount on Premium, which will not pay the subscription by itself. Packaging inserts and gift messages are $0.15 each on Premium, against $0.25 at the regular rate, and that $0.10 gap is too small to cover the fee.
State tax on the monthly card can push a store past the pre-tax shirt count. The help article caps that add-on at $3 on a monthly US subscription, and the Bella+Canvas count that clears the pre-tax fee can miss a fully taxed one, because $39.78 is only $0.78 over the pre-tax charge. If your state adds that full add-on, you need 20 of those shirts, since 20 times $2.21 is $44.20.
Sellers Club PRO is included, then it ends, after 30 days on the monthly plan and for the year annual buyers paid for. The pricing page does not spell out that expiry, and the help article does, so read it before you subscribe for the coaching.
Cancelled time is not refunded, so unsubscribe before the renewal date: a cancelled monthly plan that you then upgrade to yearly is charged for the full year with no credit for unused days. Unused time is credited only when you upgrade a plan that is still active.
Uninstalling the Shopify app cancels Premium, and uninstalling Printify from any other sales channel does not. A merchant who removes the app during a theme rebuild can drop the discount and keep expecting it on the next order.
Printify retries a secondary method, then tries three more times, and if all of those fail, Premium cancels on its own and the discount leaves with it. Keep a backup card on the account if your tee prices assume the Premium gap, because a failed charge returns you to regular catalog rates.
Shopify, Etsy, eBay, and WooCommerce send a separate bill, with their own plan and payment fees on the retail price, and those sit on top of Printify. Price them in the Shopify pricing guide, Etsy seller fees, eBay seller fees, and the WooCommerce pricing guide. Our Shopify review covers the store product, and best ecommerce platforms covers the wider field.
Merchant Protection covers a manufacturing error with a reprint or refund inside 30 days. That is a cost you do not pay when the provider is at fault, and it is not a credit against slow shipping or a design the buyer rejects. Quality still depends on which of the 70-plus providers, across 140-plus facilities, prints the order, and the product verdict on that network is in our Printify review.
How does the fee compare with Printful and Gelato?
This table is the subscription only, not a claim that one catalog is cheaper on a given blank, because product prices move by provider. A shirt-by-shirt matchup of Printify and Printful belongs on Printful vs Printify.
| Free plan | Paid plan | Discount on products | Seat or store limit | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Printify | No subscription, 5 stores | Monthly or yearly, both in the plan table above | Up to 20% on most of the catalog, up to 33% on select new products | No per-seat price. Premium stops at the store cap in the plan table |
| Printful | No subscription, unlimited stores | $24.99/mo, waived after $12,000 of sales in a year, 14-day trial | Up to 33% | Not sold per seat |
| Gelato | No subscription, 2 stores, 2 users | $29.99/mo, or $19.99/mo billed yearly ($239.88 for the year) | Up to 33% | Free plan caps users at 2. Gelato+ lifts that cap |
Printful's pricing page is the source for the Growth fee, the $12,000 waiver, the trial, and the 584 custom products it lists on the free plan, which is a product cap rather than a second subscription. Gelato's subscription plans and its Gelato+ fee table are the source for Gelato+, and Gelato adds local tax for US customers on top of those rates. Gelato+ is the only paid plan here with a published user cap on the free tier, the closest thing to a seat price in print on demand, and Printify never publishes one.
On subscription dollars alone, Printful Growth is the lowest ongoing paid plan once you set aside Printify's yearly rate, and it drops to nothing after the sales waiver in the table. That suits a brand that expects to clear the sales line. Twelve months of Growth, at $24.99 times 12, come to $299.88, so the Printify yearly plan is $0.88 less, and only if you never hit that waiver. Gelato's yearly rate is the lowest published paid subscription of the three, with a lower free-plan store cap than Printify or Printful. None of that tells you which tee is cheaper, because a higher published ceiling on a more expensive blank can lose to a 20% ceiling on a cheaper one.
Toolradar data: On the same 17 October 2026 snapshot, the median cheapest paid plan among the print-on-demand tools that publish a price is $24.99/mo. Printify's yearly rate lands on that median, and the monthly rate sits above it, which is what the February increase did. The ranking of the products, including where Printify sits, is best print-on-demand services. Sellers who start on Etsy rather than their own site should read print on demand for Etsy before they pick a plan around the store cap.
Which Printify plan should a store pick?
- Stay on Free if you are still testing designs, you are inside the free-plan store cap, and you will not clear the monthly Bella+Canvas count in the break-even table, or the Gildan count beside it. The startup version of that choice, including what is left after the first sale, is how to start a print-on-demand business.
- Buy the yearly plan if the same blank will clear the safer monthly pace in that table for the whole year, or if you want Sellers Club PRO past the first month. The February increase made this the relatively cheaper paid plan, because the annual price stayed put.
- Buy the monthly plan only when you need the discount for a short run and you will cancel before renewal. You pay the higher rate, you get a month of mentorship, and you do not get unused time back if you later switch to yearly after cancelling.
- Talk to Enterprise only when the Premium store cap, a standard integration, or the published discounts are the blocker. There is no public price, so get a quote before you compare it with the yearly plan.
- Look at Printful or Gelato when the issue is not the Printify fee. Printful's Growth trial and the sales waiver suit a brand that wants one production standard and may outgrow a subscription. Gelato's free plan is the constraint if more than one person has to log in. Our Printful review and Printful alternatives cover that side of the choice.
How we priced this page
We read Printify's pricing page, the Premium help article, the February 2026 price-change post, and the shirt pricing guide, plus Printful's pricing page and Gelato's plan page and Gelato+ fee table, all on 17 October 2026. The shirt counts are our arithmetic on those published pairs, not a quote from Printify. We did not place orders or run a store for this page. Toolradar's 11-tool set and the 79 comparisons are from Toolradar's print-on-demand ranking, read the same day. Louis Corneloup, who founded Toolradar and Dupple, edited the page. How pages like this are built is on our how we rate page, and the sourcing rules are in the editorial policy. We re-read the vendor pages when a plan price moves.

FAQ
How much does Printify cost in 2026?
The Free plan has no subscription, and Premium is $39/mo or $299 for the year, as listed on Printify's pricing page and in its Premium help article on 17 October 2026. Enterprise is custom pricing with no public rate, and every plan still charges the product and the shipping when a customer orders. The plan you pick is still not the cost of the shirt.
Does Printify charge per user or per seat?
No. Printify's pricing page has no user fee and no staff-seat line, so adding a teammate does not raise the subscription. The limit is stores: 5 on Free, 10 on Premium, and unlimited on Enterprise. Gelato publishes a user cap on its free plan, and Gelato+ lifts that cap, which matters if your team cannot share one login.
Is there a free Printify plan?
Yes. The Free plan has no subscription and includes unlimited designs, the product creator, and the sales-channel integrations, up to the store cap in the plan table. You pay the catalog price plus shipping on each order. Printify charges the Premium fee immediately when you subscribe, and the pricing page does not advertise a Premium trial, so there is no free month of the discount to sample.
When does Printify Premium pay for itself?
On the Bella+Canvas 3001 pair in Printify's shirt guide ($10.98, or $8.77 on Premium), the monthly plan is covered at 18 shirts in a month and the yearly plan at 136 shirts in a year. A Gildan 5000, published at $8.80 and $5.92 on that same page, covers the monthly plan at 14 shirts. The higher rate applies to select new products, so a reorder should be budgeted at the catalog gap on the blank you sell, not at the launch discount.
Does Printify take a transaction fee on each sale?
Printify's pricing FAQ says there is no platform fee, no listing fee, and no separate transaction fee. The company earns a margin inside the fulfillment price, so the invoice is the product and the shipping rather than a cut of the retail price. Your store can still charge its own payment fee, and that charge belongs to Shopify, Etsy, eBay, or your processor, not to the Printify invoice.
What do I lose if I cancel Printify Premium?
You keep the platform and the sales channels, and you lose the product discount, Printify Connect, the AI mockup allowance, and Sellers Club PRO. Catalog prices go back to the regular rate, and the fee already paid is not refunded. Cancel before the renewal date, or the next month or year is charged.
Did Printify raise Premium prices in 2026?
Yes. On 17 February 2026 the monthly plan moved up from $29 to the monthly price in the plan table, and the yearly price did not change. A forecast that still uses $29 understates every monthly invoice.
