KORONA POS Review 2026: Pricing per Terminal, Pros and Cons
What KORONA's three per-terminal plans and add-on modules cost, what changes between them, and how one register compares with Lightspeed, Shopify POS and liquor-store systems.
KORONA POS is worth it in 2026 for independent retailers who want inventory tools at a flat software fee and their own choice of card processor. Core costs $59 per terminal per month, Retail $79 and Plus $99, on month-to-month terms with no setup fee, per KORONA's pricing page read on 19 October 2026.
The trade-off is that you pay per terminal and arrange payments yourself. A three-register store on Retail pays $237 a month in software before card fees, and the discounted annual rate is not printed. Pick KORONA if you already have, or want to shop for, a good processing rate; pick Shopify POS or Lightspeed if you would rather have payments bundled.

KORONA POS is a cloud point of sale for retail stores, from boutiques and liquor stores to venues that sell tickets at an entry gate. Its pitch is the opposite of the payments-led systems: you pay a fixed software fee per terminal and KORONA never takes a percentage of your sales, because it is processing agnostic. Our best POS systems ranking covers the whole category; this page is about KORONA alone.
Toolradar data: on Toolradar, the software directory we run, KORONA POS is listed as an alternative to 8 other tools as of October 2026, so buyers usually find it while comparing better-known systems rather than searching for it by name.
What is KORONA POS?
KORONA sells three cumulative plans, each priced per terminal. Core covers checkout, the product database, sales reports, manual discounts, gift cards and open API access. Retail adds the inventory work most stores buy a POS for: counts, real-time stock, barcode automations, shelf and price labels, supplier ordering, customer management, custom promotions and KPI reports. Plus adds analysis for stores with many products or several locations, such as ABC analysis, top and slow seller reports, multi-location inventory tools, per-store pricing and accounting data export.
Five optional modules extend it to other trades: Food for table service and kitchen printers, Invoicing for quotes and rentals, Ticketing for entry gates, Franchise for royalty rules and central inventory, and Integration for custom API work.
How KORONA POS works
You sign up without a credit card, set up products in the real-time back office and run each register on KORONA's cloud software. Every plan includes onboarding, training, 24/7 in-house support and unlimited users and sales, so a store with many part-time cashiers pays nothing extra per person.
Payments are the part to plan. KORONA does not process cards itself, so you keep your current processor or choose one, and that processor's rate is a separate line on your costs. Billing is month to month with no forced contract and cancellation at any time; KORONA offers discounted annual plans without printing the annual rate, and a money-back guarantee of 60 days on software and 30 days on hardware.
KORONA POS key features
KORONA POS pricing
KORONA's pricing page, read on 19 October 2026, prints three plans per terminal on month-to-month terms, at the rates in the table above, with no setup fee. Modules cost $10 per register a month for Food or Invoicing, $50 per entry gate for Ticketing, $30 per franchisee for Franchise and $45 per token for Integration. Annual plans are discounted, but the annual rate is not printed.
Our scenario: one terminal for a year on month-to-month billing costs $708 on Core, $948 on Retail and $1,188 on Plus, our arithmetic on the printed rates. A three-terminal store on Retail pays $2,844 a year, and adding the Food module to each register for a café corner lifts that to $3,204. Card processing is excluded because KORONA does not set it.
For one register on monthly billing, Lightspeed Retail Basic costs $1,308 a year with Lightspeed Payments, and Shopify Basic plus one POS Pro location costs $1,536. Bottle POS Starter and POS Nation Starter cost $708 and $588 a year at their printed monthly rates. All read the same day.

Who KORONA POS is for
KORONA suits an independent shop with one to a handful of registers that needs real inventory control, such as a liquor store, boutique or gift shop, and that already has a processor it likes or wants to negotiate one. It also fits venues that sell tickets or run a franchise, since those modules sit on the same platform. Our liquor store POS and clothing boutique POS rankings show where it lands against specialists.
Skip KORONA if you want one bill for software and payments, or if you sell online as much as in store, where Shopify POS joins both channels. Large stores should also count terminals carefully: the per-terminal fee grows with every register, while Lightspeed includes one register in each plan and quotes extras.

The bottom line
KORONA POS is a strong pick for an independent store that wants inventory control without handing a percentage of sales to its POS vendor. Retail is the plan most shops need, and the month-to-month terms make it cheap to try. Count your terminals and get a processing quote before you compare it with bundled systems, because those two lines decide the total.
For bundled alternatives, read our Lightspeed Retail review, Shopify POS review and Square POS review, and see Lightspeed vs Shopify POS. What a POS system costs in 2026 puts the software fee next to hardware and processing, and best inventory management software covers stores that need more than a POS. Shopify POS on Toolradar lists more alternatives.
Methodology: every price comes from each vendor's own pricing page, read on 19 October 2026 in US dollars, compared on month-to-month billing where both terms exist, and yearly totals are our arithmetic on those printed rates. Card processing is excluded because KORONA does not set it. Cite this: Retailpresso, "KORONA POS Review 2026: Pricing per Terminal, Pros and Cons", November 2026.
