Zoho Inventory Review
Zoho's four paid plans, what the free plan covers, how the Shopify and Etsy connections behave, and four rivals priced on their own pages.
Zoho Inventory has the lowest published paid entry of the five inventory tools compared here, and its free plan costs nothing for an online store under 50 orders a month.Standard costs $29 a month billed annually, or $39 billed monthly, for 500 orders, 2 users and 2 locations.
The strengths are the free tier, a 14-day trial with no contract, and Shopify and Etsy sales that land in one stock count. The catches are one Shopify store and one user on the free plan, order caps that push a growing shop up a tier, and Etsy's one-tracking-number rule. Cin7, Finale and Fishbowl cost roughly eight to 17 times the Standard price, and each is built for a bigger operation.
Key factsBest for: Shopify and Etsy sellers who want one stock count across…
- Low-cost multichannel inventory with a free tier, aimed at small stores that have outgrown spreadsheets.
- Free plan: Yes: 50 orders, 1 user, 2 locations
- Free trial: 14 days, no contract
- Alternatives covered: Cin7, Finale Inventory, Fishbowl Inventory, Katana
Pros
- Free plan costs $0 for 50 orders, 1 user and 2 locations, with composite items, dropshipment and backordering included.
- Standard lifts the cap to 500 orders and 2 users, and the 14-day trial needs no contract.
- Shopify and Etsy orders arrive as sales orders, and Etsy stock sync is on by default.
Cons
- The free plan allows one Shopify store and one user, so any store past 50 orders a month must pay.
- Etsy orders take one tracking number each, so split shipments are not possible.
- Extra users cost $7.50 a month on annual billing, and Standard includes only 2 users.
Zoho InventoryZoho Inventory is among the cheapest ways to fix a stock count that breaks when the same SKU sells on two channels. Sellers usually hit that problem when the spreadsheet falls behind, and Zoho is a common first step before heavier systems.
This review is for store owners and small operations teams deciding whether a plan under $30 a month does the job before they weigh a contract of several hundred dollars a month. The question is not whether Zoho counts stock. It does. The question is whether the free tier and the Standard limits cover your order volume and channels.

What is Zoho Inventory?
Zoho Inventory is cloud inventory software from Zoho, the business software suite. It keeps one stock count across warehouses and sales channels, raises purchase orders, prints picklists and pulls orders in from Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce and Zoho Commerce through its connectors.
It is built for sellers who have outgrown spreadsheets but do not want an ERP project.
The features that matter at the bottom tier are composite items, dropshipment and backordering, all of which the free plan includes.
Serial and batch tracking start at Professional, and barcode generation and stock counting start at Premium, according to Zoho's plan list.
How Zoho Inventory works
Shopify connects from Settings, under Shopping Cart, after you enable online sales. Zoho sends you to the Shopify app store, where you add the app and pick the store. Zoho's help page asks you to use the same email address on both accounts.
Then you choose how items map, whether stock syncs out to Shopify, which warehouse feeds the count, and how often the sync runs.
Two settings change the outcome most. Stock from every Zoho warehouse is combined and sent to Shopify as one available quantity, so 20 units in the primary warehouse and 10 in another show as 30.
Fetch Stock Counts runs only once, during the first sync. Single Customer mode files every Shopify order under one customer name, which is tidy but means you lose per-buyer records in Zoho.
Etsy connects from the Marketplaces tab in Integrations.
You must complete the Etsy sign-in within five minutes of clicking Setup Now, or Zoho shows an error. Zoho then maps Etsy items by SKU or by exact item name, and any unmatched item needs a manual link. Automatic sync runs every four hours by default, and you can shorten it to 30 minutes.
Stock sync to Etsy is on by default, and Zoho takes only paid Etsy orders.
Sync history keeps successful records for a month and failed records for two. If an order or item fails, you can resync that timestamp from the history page without retyping anything.

Zoho Inventory key features
Zoho Inventory pricing
Zoho publishes four paid plans per organization on its pricing page, in USD and excluding local taxes. Standard is $29 a month billed annually or $39 billed monthly. Professional is $79 or $99, Premium is $129 or $159, and Enterprise is $249 or $299.
The free plan is $0 with 50 orders, 1 user and 2 locations. After the 14-day trial, an account can drop to the free plan without paying.
Zoho's plan comparison adds the limits the pricing page leaves out, such as API calls per day and Shopify store connections per plan.
The subscription is not the whole bill.
Each extra user costs $7.50 a month on annual billing, or $9 billed monthly, and each extra location costs $10 a month, or $12 billed monthly. Our arithmetic: a three-person team on Standard billed annually pays $36.50 a month with one add-on user, or $438 a year.
The same team on Standard billed monthly pays $48 a month, or $576 a year.

Zoho Inventory pros and cons

- Free plan costs $0 for 50 orders, 1 user and 2 locations, with composite items, dropshipment and backordering included.
- Standard lifts the cap to 500 orders and 2 users, and the 14-day trial needs no contract.
- Shopify and Etsy orders arrive as sales orders, and Etsy stock sync is on by default.
What could be better
- The free plan allows one Shopify store and one user, so any store past 50 orders a month must pay.
- Etsy orders take one tracking number each, so split shipments are not possible.
- Extra users cost $7.50 a month on annual billing, and Standard includes only 2 users.
Who Zoho Inventory is for
Zoho Inventory fits a single-owner store or a small team that sells mainly on Shopify or Etsy and ships under 500 orders a month. Standard covers 500 orders and 2 users at the annual price. A solo seller under 50 orders a month can run on the free plan while the business is still small, as long as it uses one Shopify store.
Etsy sellers should model fees too, and our Etsy seller fees guide shows what Etsy takes on top of any software bill.
Shopify sellers weighing a higher plan should first read our Shopify pricing breakdown.
It fits less well for a team of three or more that needs everyone in the account from day one. The free plan allows one user, and Standard allows two before the $7.50 add-on.
A store that needs a third warehouse has to move up or pay the $10 location add-on, since Standard covers two locations and Professional covers four.
Skip Zoho if you build products from parts or need production planning. The plan list names no bill-of-materials or production feature, so makers should confirm that before buying.
A brand that needs Katana's production-first model or Fishbowl's manufacturing tiers should look there instead.

The bottom line
Zoho Inventory is the right first inventory system for a store on Shopify or Etsy that wants one stock count for under $30 a month, or nothing while it stays under 50 orders. The free plan and the 14-day trial let you check the fit before paying, and both channel connections run from the Integrations and Settings menus without a sales call.
Look elsewhere if you need production planning or a warehouse team scanning from day one.
For a bigger operation, the paid alternatives here start between $229 and $499 a month, and Katana's free plan suits a catalog of 30 SKUs or fewer. Zoho has the lowest published paid entry of the five, and that is the core of the case.
For the stock-to-shipping step, our ShipStation review and best shipping software ranking cover labels, and best order management systems covers heavier order flows.
Katana also has a Toolradar profile, and our Finale Inventory review goes deeper on that rival.
