Judge.me vs Loox 2026: Review App Pricing and Verdict

Judge.me vs Loox in 2026: Judge.me caps at $15/mo, Loox Convert starts at $49.99/mo and grows with orders. Monthly cost at 300 to 3,000 orders, Oct 2026.

Judge.me vs Loox 2026: Review App Pricing and Verdict

Judge.me is the better pick for most Shopify stores in 2026, because its paid plan is $15/mo flat and never grows with your sales. Loox Convert starts at $49.99/mo for 300 orders and adds $50 for every further 300, so a 900-order month costs $149.99. Pick Loox when photo-led widgets and its AI review tools are central to how you sell; pick Judge.me when the bill matters. Prices read on both vendors' pages on 18 October 2026.

Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, evaluated 34 reviews and UGC tools for its October 2026 ranking, and both Judge.me and Loox sit in the group ranked 11 to 30 rather than the top 10. Neither app is a runaway leader in that catalog, which is why this page decides on price structure and fit rather than reputation.

The table says most of it. Judge.me puts photo and video reviews in its free plan and charges one flat fee for the rest. Loox gives its free plan reminders but holds back video, then prices its paid plan on your order count. The more orders you process, the wider the gap.

What each app costs at 300 to 3,000 orders a month

The right comparison is the monthly bill at your order volume, since that is what Loox charges on. Judge.me's Awesome plan stays at the same flat fee whatever you sell, and its pricing page states that this fee is the most a store can pay. Loox Convert includes 300 orders in its base price and adds a $50 usage charge for each extra block of 300 orders, per its Shopify App Store listing. Both apps bill in USD every 30 days through Shopify, and the table uses list prices as of Oct 2026. Loox Unlimited is a flat $299.99/mo at any volume.

Orders per month Loox Convert Extra over Judge.me Awesome
300 $49.99 $34.99
600 $99.99 $84.99
900 $149.99 $134.99
1,500 $249.99 $234.99
1,800 $299.99 (same as Unlimited) $284.99
3,000 $499.99 (Unlimited is cheaper) $284.99 on Unlimited

Loox figures are our arithmetic on Loox's listed base price and usage fee, at exact multiples of 300 orders. At 1,800 orders a month Convert costs the same as Unlimited, so any store above that volume should be on Unlimited if it stays with Loox. A store between blocks should confirm how Loox counts a partial block in the Shopify billing screen before it commits.

Over a year the difference is large. Twelve monthly charges of Judge.me Awesome come to $180. A 600-order store on Loox Convert pays $1,199.88 across the same twelve charges, and a store on Loox Unlimited pays $3,599.88. The Loox premium therefore has to earn its place in conversions you can measure on your own store, not in a feature list.

Round 1: price. Judge.me wins

Judge.me wins price at every order volume, and by a margin that grows with the store. Even a 300-order store pays more than three times as much on Loox Convert as on Judge.me Awesome. Loox's free Beginner plan is a fair answer for a new store, but it stops at 500 orders, and the jump from free to Convert is a jump to a variable bill.

The steelman for Loox is that a review app that lifts conversion pays for itself. That is true of both apps, though, and Judge.me's free plan already shows photo and video reviews with star badges and rich snippets. The price question is what extra conversion Loox's display and AI features deliver on your own store, which only a trial can answer.

Round 2: collecting reviews. Split decision

The two free plans make opposite trade-offs on collection. Loox Beginner includes review request emails and reminders, and Judge.me puts automatic reminders on Awesome. A store that will never pay for an app gets more automated collection from Loox's free plan, up to its 500-order limit.

Judge.me's free plan collects without limits instead: unlimited review requests, unlimited photo and video reviews, and imports from Shop, Etsy, Amazon and AliExpress. Awesome adds the automatic reminders, coupons and referrals. Loox Convert adds video reviews, reviews on product bundles and post-purchase and on-site referrals, and Loox offers discounts for photo reviews from its free plan up.

For a store that wants the most reviews for the least money, Judge.me Awesome covers reminders, coupons and referrals for one flat fee. For a store whose products sell on customer photos, Loox's photo incentives from day one are the reason to look at it.

Round 3: display and AI. Loox wins

Loox wins on display, which is the product it is built around. Its free plan lists 17+ widgets, including snippets and carousels, and Convert adds AI smart sorting, review highlights, AI summaries, review stories, translations and AI replies. The Unlimited plan unlocks every feature and priority support. For a fashion, beauty or home brand that sells on how products look in real homes, those visual layouts are the pitch.

Judge.me is not far behind on paper. Its free plan includes the reviews widget, star rating badge, card, testimonial and video carousels, a reviews grid, medals, a trust badge and a Happy Customers page, while Awesome adds AI review summaries, AI replies, AI sentiment and topics, review translation and full widget and CSS customization. The difference is emphasis: Judge.me spreads its features wide, and Loox concentrates on making the photo gallery the centerpiece.

Round 4: syndication and integrations. Tie

Both apps push reviews beyond the product page, and both put most of it on the paid plan. Loox Beginner syndicates to the Shop app, and Convert adds Google, Meta and TikTok syndication plus integrations, an API and webhooks. Judge.me's free plan syncs with the Shop app, and Awesome adds Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok Shop sync, social media push and 130+ integrations, Klaviyo and Gorgias among them.

If your email platform is Klaviyo or Omnisend, both connect. Our Klaviyo vs Omnisend comparison covers the email side of that stack.

Round 5: support, trials and cancelling. Judge.me wins narrowly

Both apps list 24/7 chat and email support on their free plans. Loox adds priority support only on Unlimited, and Judge.me says every user gets the same support whatever the plan. Judge.me's free plan also carries SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 on its pricing page, which matters to a brand that a retail partner asks about compliance.

The trials are close: 15 days on Judge.me Awesome and 14 days on Loox's paid plans. Judge.me also says that if you cancel, the account drops back to the free plan and keeps your existing reviews, so leaving the paid plan does not strip reviews from your product pages. Check how Loox handles a downgrade before you move a large review base onto it.

Who should pick Judge.me

  • Most Shopify stores past their first few hundred orders. A flat fee cannot grow with your sales, and the free plan already shows photo and video reviews.
  • Stores with seasonal peaks. A Black Friday month that triples orders triples nothing on Judge.me.
  • Sellers who import reviews from marketplaces. Imports from Amazon, Etsy and AliExpress sit on the free plan.

Our Judge.me review covers the plan's limits in more depth.

Who should pick Loox

  • Visual brands where the photo gallery is the sales page. Loox's widgets and AI sorting are built for that.
  • New stores under 500 orders that want automated reminders free. Beginner covers it, as long as you do not need video reviews yet.
  • Large stores ready for Unlimited. Above 1,800 orders a month the top plan is a fixed bill with priority support.

The Loox review walks through each Loox plan. How we built this page

Louis Corneloup, founder of Dupple and Toolradar, wrote this comparison from Judge.me's pricing page, Judge.me's Shopify App Store listing, Loox's pricing page and Loox's Shopify App Store listing, all read on 18 October 2026. The order-volume and yearly figures are our arithmetic on those list prices, not vendor quotes. Retailpresso runs no test store, so no conversion or speed figure here is a measurement. The 34-tool count comes from Toolradar's October 2026 reviews and UGC ranking. We re-check prices when either vendor changes a plan.

FAQ

Judge.me vs Loox: which should I choose in 2026?

Choose Judge.me if you want the lowest bill: its Awesome plan is $15/mo flat, and its free plan includes unlimited photo and video reviews. Choose Loox if a photo-led review gallery is central to your store and you can carry a bill that starts at $49.99/mo on Convert and grows with orders. Both offer a free trial on the paid plan.

Is Judge.me cheaper than Loox?

Yes, at every order volume. Judge.me says its flat monthly fee is the most a store can pay it. Loox Convert includes 300 orders and adds $50 for each further 300, so a 600-order month costs $99.99 on Loox, and twelve monthly charges come to $1,199.88 against $180 on Judge.me.

Does Loox have a free plan?

Yes. Loox Beginner is free for up to 500 orders and includes review request emails and reminders, discounts for photo reviews, 17+ widgets, rich snippets and Shop app syndication. Video reviews start on the paid Convert plan.

When is Loox Unlimited worth it?

Loox Unlimited at $299.99/mo is worth it once a store passes 1,800 orders a month, the point where Convert's base price plus usage blocks reaches the same figure. It also adds priority support and every Loox feature. Below that volume Convert is cheaper.

Can I move my reviews from Loox to Judge.me?

Judge.me's free plan includes a reviews importer for other apps and spreadsheets, plus imports from Shop, Amazon, Etsy and AliExpress, so a switch should not mean starting from zero. Run the import during a quiet week and check that photo reviews come across before you uninstall the old app.
